Angel Whispers is a non-denominational service for parents who have lost a baby shortly after birth, or during pregnancy; through miscarriage, molar or ectopic pregnancy, or stillbirth. Fort Saskatchewan, AB.
ParentCare is a support group made up of Parents Helping Parents who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or early infant death up to 28 days. The group meets on the third Thursday of every month to share experiences, exchange information, and generally support one another through a difficult and often lonely time. Spruce Grove, AB.
H.E.A.R.T.S. Baby Loss Program was created in 1996 by two bereaved families who were seeking support for their own experiences. They ended up founding H.E.A.R.T.S., offering support, education and resources to families in the Sherwood Park area. Families from the Greater Edmonton Region are welcome to attend. Some programming also in Red Deer, AB.
The COPE Line is a resource for grieving individuals with an immediate need for support. Our COPE Line Volunteers are trained to respond to each caller personally by providing resources, referrals and information or simply offering emotional support.
Peer support for people with similar life experiences can be tremendously helpful as they navigate through difficult situations in their grief journey. COPE has a peer mentor program for parents and siblings who wish to speak one-on-one to someone who has shared their loss.
The mission of Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support, Inc. is to serve those whose lives are touched by the tragic death of a baby through pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or in the first few months of life.
The primary purpose is to provide support toward positive resolution of grief experienced at the time of, or following the death of a baby. This support encompasses emotional, physical, spiritual and social healing, as well as sustaining the family unit.
SANDS is an organization based on Australia (and the UK) that supports those affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and newborn death.
They have online support chats regularly, a support line and mens support line (Australian numbers) and email support.
SANDS UK also offers communities of support via phone, email and online.
Pregnancy After Loss Support (PALS) is a community support resource for women experiencing the confusing and conflicting emotions of grief mixed with joy during the journey through pregnancy after loss.
Pregnancy After Loss Support (PALS) moderates eleven private Facebook groups.
